SRINAGAR, Dec 14: Police in Baramulla today arrested a drug peddler during a naka checking and recovered charas from his possession.
Officials said a police team from Police Station Pattan, during a checkpoint operation at Trikolbal, arrested Akif Ahmad Dar, son of Ashiq Ahmad Dar, a resident of Trikolbal Jawanipora, Pattan.
During a search, police recovered a charas-like substance weighing approximately 13.5 grams and charas powder-like substance weighing about 23 grams from his possession.
A case under FIR No. 237/2025 has been registered at Police Station Pattan under relevant Sections of law, and further investigation is underway.
