UDHAMPUR, Sept 18: Police apprehended a drug peddler from Tikri and recovered 5.21 grams of heroin from his possession.
A police team from Police Post Tikri, during checking at Tikri naka point apprehended the accused who was coming from Jammu towards Udhampur on foot.
Upon search, 5.21 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot. He was identified as Uttam Kumar Sharma alias Babbu, son of Kartar Chand, resident of Mand, A/P Subash Nagar, Udhampur.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 143/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal, and further investigation is underway.
