UDHAMPUR, Sept 14: Police arrested a drug peddler in Rehambal area and recovered 4.3 grams of heroin from his possession.
Reports said that during patrolling, a police team from Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO, Parshotam Kumar, apprehended the accused who was roaming suspiciously.
Upon search, a transparent polypouch containing 4.3 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession following which he was arrested on the spot.
The arrested person has been identified as Janam Bhagat alias Janni, son of Mohan Lal, resident of Kambal Danga, Udhampur.
In this connection, a case FIR number 139/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal, and further investigation is underway.
