UDHAMPUR, June 8: Police arrested a drug peddler from Tikri area and recovered 5.50 grams of heroin like contraband substance from his possession.
He has been identified as Chetan Sharma alias Chhotu, son of Madan Lal, resident of Nelli Nallah, Rehambal, Udhampur.
The accused was apprehended by a patrolling team of Police Post Tikri when he was coming from Manthal side towards Tikri on foot and attempted moving backwards on seeing police team.
In this regard, a case FIR number 80/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Rehambal. Further investigation of the case is underway.
