UDHAMPUR, Apr 29: Police today arrested a drug peddler from Rehambal naka point and recovered 4.40 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
A Police team from Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Nishat Sumbria, apprehended the accused while performing routine patrolling duty at Rehambal naka point.
In thorough frisking, the police team recovered 4.40 grams of heroin like contraband substance from possession of the accused, identified as Anafas Showkat Ganaie, son of Showkat Ahmed Ganaie of Safa Kadal, Srinagar.
In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 54/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was set into motion.
