RAJOURI, Jan 27: The police nabbed a drug peddler and recovered some quantity of heroin from his possession.
Official sources said that a Police party led by Insp Abid Hussain Shah, noticed one person moving under suspicious near Sheema Crossing on ITI Road in Rajouri town. During personal search, 6 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
The individual was identified as Haroon Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Ward No. 2, Rajouri. A case under FIR No. 53/2025 has been registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Rajouri. Further investigation is underway to ascertain both the backward and forward linkages of the drug network.
