JAMMU, Jan 23: The Drobotics Lab, JUIT was inaugurated at Jaypee University, Solan (HP).
A handout stated that the lab has been established to promote hands-on learning and innovation in the domains of robotics, automation, embedded systems and AI-based technologies.
The inauguration commenced with ribbon-cutting ceremony by Jaypee University Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.K Sharma.
Adding a unique and engaging touch to the event was the robotic dog, showcased as part of the exhibition. Its interactive movements and responses created an atmosphere of excitement among students, faculty members and guests.
Following this, a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony was held.
An exhibition of the facilities and equipment available in the Drobotics Lab was organized as a key part of the event.
The exhibition featured a family of NVIDIA products, including Jetson Nano boards and Jetson Thor, various Arduino boards used for learning microcontroller-based system design, a 3D printer, demonstrating rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing, robotic cars and other robotic modules and several additional tools and components supporting robotics and automation projects.
The exhibition provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of the lab’s resources and demonstrated how these tools can be used to develop real-world and industry-relevant projects.
Students explained the objectives of the lab and emphasized its role in encouraging project-based learning, research and innovation.
They interacted with the exhibits, gaining insights into upcoming opportunities for hands-on experimentation and collaborative development.
