RAMBAN, Dec 27: Driver of an oil tanker was killed after his tanker rolled down into a gorge at Kelamorh, Seri area here on Jammu Srinagar National Highway last night.
Police sources informed that oil tanker bearing registration number JK01AJ -9101 was on way to Kashmir from Jammu when it rolled down into a deep gorge at Kelamorh, Seri near Ramban resulting in on the spot death of the driver.
After receiving information rescue teams of Police and Civil QRT rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body of the driver trapped under the vehicle and shifted it to mortuary of District Hospital.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Wari son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Tral, district Pulwama.
After conducting post-mortem and other legal formalities the body was handed over to relatives of the deceased on Tuesday afternoon.
SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma has confirmed the incident.
