Driver held with large quantity of liquor bottles

JAMMU, June 25: Residency Road police arrested a driver along with large quantity of liquor bottles.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Residency Road police post raised a naka at Vivekanand Chowk and intercepted a Tata Winger bearing registration number JK02AV-6033.
During checking, police recovered 96 bottles of whisky and 36 bottles of beer and arrested the driver on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Suresh Sharma, son of Dhana Ram of Talab Tillo.
A case under FIR Number 40/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at City police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge police post Residency Road PSI Nitin Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO City police station Kewal Gupta, SDPO City Perbeet Singh Parihar, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chowhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
