RAMBAN, Mar 1: Police arrested a driver for smuggling bovine animals to Valley.
As per police sources, police team from Ramban police station laid a naka at Karol and intercepted a Bolero load carrier bearing registration number JK02BA-5206.
During checking, police rescued four bovine animals and arrested the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Abdul Jabbar, son of Mohammad Sharief, a resident of Kanthi, Ramban.
A case under FIR number 27/15 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban police station Ajay Singh Chib made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
