DODA, June 19: A driver was killed, when the vehicle he was driving collided with a deodar tree at Thnote Bimna area of the district.
As per police sources, a Xylo car bearing registration number JK014E-2660 carrying marriage party way on its way from Dessa to Doda, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it collided with a deodar tree at Thnote Bimna, resulting into serious injuries to the driver yesterday.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured driver to District Hospital, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar (26), son of Punjab Singh, a resident of Dessa, at present District Udhampur.
A case in this regard has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
