Driver arrested with smack

JAMMU, Mar 10: Bari Brahmana police arrested a driver along with smack.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bari Brahmana police station laid a naka and asked a pedestrian to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the pedestrian tried to escape, but the cops nabbed him after a brief chase.
During checking, police recovered 3 grams smack from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ishaq, son of Rehmat Ali, a resident of Gujjar Colony, Channi Himmat. He is a driver by profession.
A case under FIR Number 52/17 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bari Brahmana police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of consignment.
Police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Usman and SSP Samba Anil Mangotra.
