Dr Vivek appointed Consultant to US Army Surgeon General

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Dec 16: Dr Vivek Padha, Interventional Radiologist at Berkeley Medical Center and Jefferson Medical Center, was recently appointed as the Radiology Consultant to the Surgeon General of the U S Army. Dr Padha, a colonel in the Army Reserve, will lead the medical specialty of radiology for the entire Reserve division overseeing the recruitment, education, and assignments of all radiologists. Hailing from Jammu, Dr Vivek Padha is a graduate from the Government Medical College, Jammu and completed his super-specialty from the prestigious Yale School of Medicine. He has been honored with the prestigious Fellowship of the Society of Interventional Radiology (FSIR), for significant contributions to the field of interventional radiology and to society. Dr Padha has over 30 years of clinical experience. Padha serves on the boards of several elite institutions such as the American Board of Radiology. As a consultant to the Surgeon General, he will provide advice and guidance on healthcare matters and improve healthcare delivery.
