KATRA, Mar 18: Dr Vinay Kumar, School of Physics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University was awarded with Young Scientists Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions in the area of nanotechnology in the National Conference on Physics of Engineering Materials (NCPEM- 2013) organized by Department of Physics, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and technology (DCRUST), Murthal, Haryana recently.
Over 200 delegates from all over India participated in the Conference. Five best young scientists were shortlisted for this award and Dr Kumar is one of them, who presented his work on the fluorescent nanoparticles so called nanophosphor and their practical use in Forensic Science for latent finger print development, light emitting diodes (LEDs), compact fluorescence lamps (CFLs) and high-resolution TV screen.
Dr Kumar is very motivated, excited and passionate about science, and was thrilled to receive this award.
Dr Kumar has published 38 papers in various international reputed and peer reviewed journals.
