KATHUA, Dec 1: Dr. Rameshwar, MLA Bani today laid the foundation for the construction of a boundary wall for the Lavender Farm in Chala Dhar, Bani. The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakh, is being undertaken to support the growth of the Lavender farming initiative in the region.
In his address, Dr. Rameshwar emphasized the importance of this project for both agricultural development and tourism. The boundary wall will not only secure the Lavender Farm but also contribute to the protection and enhancement of the surrounding area. The project is expected to be completed within the stipulated time frame and will play a crucial role in promoting Lavender cultivation in the region, he said.
Dr. Rameshwar highlighted the potential of Lavender farming in Bani, which could open new avenues for local farmers and boost the region’s economy. The project will also help position Chala Dhar as a key tourism destination, attracting visitors interested in eco-tourism and agritourism.
The MLA was accompanied by officials from the Agriculture Department and Public Works Department (PWD), who are collaborating on this project. He expressed confidence that the Lavender farm would not only enhance agricultural productivity but also create employment opportunities and contribute to the overall development of the region.
Later, he also interacted with the people of the area and listened to their concerns, assuring them of his continued support in addressing their issues.
