Jammu, Feb 28: Dr. Rajesh Mahajan has been appointed as the Head of the Department of Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu.
He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Jammu, and subsequently earned his MD in Anesthesiology and Critical Care from PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Dr. Mahajan is a highly accomplished Interventional Pain Physician with over two decades of dedicated experience in the field of pain medicine. He holds the Fellowship in Interventional Pain Practice (FIAPM) from the Indian Society for Study of Pain.
In addition, he is a certified Palliative Care physician, having completed the Certificate Course in Essential Palliative Care (CCEPC) and the National Fellowship in Palliative Medicine (NFPM). He currently serves as the Nodal Officer for Palliative Care at GMC Jammu.
With more than 100 national and international publications and multiple book chapters to his credit, Dr. Mahajan has made significant academic contributions to anesthesia, interventional pain medicine, and palliative care. He is also an examiner at premier institutions across the country, including AIIMS New Delhi and PGIMER Chandigarh.
His profound knowledge, strategic vision and scholarly contributions are expected to further strengthen and advance the department to the highest standards of clinical care, research and education.
