JAMMU, Apr 20: Dr Rahul Gupta, Associate Professor Department of Urology SSH ; GMC Jammu visited Bhatinda AIIMS for demonstrating surgery of Renal Stone Surgery on a complicated patient in a live operative worshop held today under the banner of North Zone Urology Society. He gave an invited talk and also demonstrated Endoscopy Stone Surgery on a 75 yrs old patient with single kidney.
He was nominated on his academic achievements to the Board of Indian School of Urology (ISU) part of national body of Urology Society of India (USI)
This is for the first time that a Urologist from Jammu and Kashmir has been nominated to such a converted position as only two applications were accepted from whole of the North Zone after strict scrutiny by the national body of Urologists. Based on the academic achievements, they are nominated to this board which looks over the teaching program for the urology students and young consultants.
Before that he has been in the board for Endourology subsection of USI and a council member for North Zone Urology Society of India.
He thanked GMC Principal and Department for the unclinching support and guidance.
