Dr Prabhakar to flag J&K issues at Viksit Bharat conference

JAMMU, Sept 13: The Indian Economics and Allied Sciences Association (IEAS), in collaboration with the Department of Management Studies Bhuj, will soon host a national conference on ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
Retired J&K civil servant Dr Prabhakar, who has served as National Level Monitor with the Union Rural Development Ministry and later as Consultant (Monitoring) for the J&K Government on the National Livelihood Mission, is among the key participants. Known for his active engagement post-retirement, he plans to raise regional concerns related to business, tourism, and transportation.
Dr Prabhakar is expected to highlight the impact of railway expansion and the erstwhile Darbar move on J&K’s economy. Local economists, retired professors, and the Directorate of Economics and Planning are likely to facilitate group discussions on these issues to ensure the community benefits from the deliberations.
IEAS is led by Prof Mohan Patel (president), Prof Alok Kumar (secretary) and Prof GM Bhat from Kashmir (vice president).
