JAMMU, Sept 29: Dr Narinder Paul, Scientist/Subject Matter Specialist (Extension), Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Doda, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J), has been conferred “Best KVK Scientist Award -2019”.
The awarded was conferred during the international conference on “Recent Advances in Agricultural, Environmental & Applied Sciences for Global Development (RAAEASGD-2019)”, held recently at Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, in association with Plant Pathology Research Institute, ARC, Cairo University Giza, Egypt and Tribhuvan University, Institute of Forestry, Pokhra Campus, Nepal. More than 450 scientists from across India and others countries attended the conference.
The award has been conferred in recognition of his remarkable 14 years field extension services and contribution to the farming sector while working in the KVK, publications in reputed national and international journals, innovative extension approaches devised and carried out in strengthening agriculture extension and promoting scientific agriculture among the farming community. Son of Janak Raj and Sunita Rani, Dr Narinder belongs to Hiranagar town of District Kathua.
