Dr Malik gets IMA’s ‘Professorship Academic Excellence’ Award

Srinagar, Sept 5: Dr G. M. Malik, former Professor and Head, Department of Medicine, GMC, Srinagar has been conferred with Professorship Academic Excellence Award by Indian Medical Association (IMA) at a function held at IMA headquarters in New Delhi.
He was felicitated by IMA President Dr Jai Lal for his immense contribution during 39 years of services in research, international publications, teaching MBBS & MD students in GMC Srinagar, ASCCOMS Jammu, SKIMS Medical College Srinagar and at King Saud University Riyadh Central Hospital, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr Malik is the founder and chief editor internationally indexed medical journal, JK Practitioner which is running for 27 years. He is also the founder state president of JK IMA and Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) state branches.
It is for the first time that such a prestigious award has been awarded to any current or former GMC Srinagar faculty member. The doctor’s fraternity has congratulated Dr Malik for such an achievement.
