SRINAGAR, Jan 6: Dr. Nusrat Malik was today elected President of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) J&K Srinagar branch, with the election held unanimously during the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) here.
The AGM and election meeting were conducted as per the approved agenda, during which office-bearers for various posts were elected unopposed through consensus.
Dr. Nusrat Malik chaired the meeting following her election.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Malik stressed the need for stronger coordination within the Executive Committee.
She noted that her focus would be on increasing branch registrations and strengthening fundraising efforts for upcoming scientific programmes.
Branch Secretary Dr. Abdul Lateef presented the annual activity report and the financial statement for the previous year.
The general body unanimously adopted the accounts, expressing satisfaction over the transparent utilisation of funds.
The meeting was attended by senior dental professionals, including Dr. A.M. Naqash, founder member and President of the IDA J&K State Branch, and Prof. B. Ahmad, former Medical Superintendent of Government Dental College and Registrar of the J&K State Dental Council.
