JAMMU, Feb 20: Prof Dr Annil Mahajan, Head, Department of General Medicine, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, was honoured with the rare distinction of Editor-in-Chief of the official journal of Indian Menopause Society (IMS), during 23rd National Conference of Indian Menopause Society (IMSCON), recently held at Gurugram.
The IMS is a national society committed to fostering the comprehensive well-being of mature and elderly Indian women. Journal of Midlife Health (JMH) is the academic face of IMS and is one of the very prestigious journals of the country.
Dr Mahajan took over this assignment from Dr Sudhaa Sharma, Prof of Obst and Gyane, GMC Jammu, who successfully completed her two year tenure as chief editor. Dr Mahajan is presently a Chairman of the Teacher Eligibility Criteria (TEQ) Committee of the Medical Council of India (MCI). He has already served in Medical Council of India in the capacity of Executive Committee Member.
Dr Vishal R Tandon, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology also has been nominated as Associate Editor by Governing Council of IMS for JMH. Dr Tandon is also Editor-in-Chief for JK Science Journal of Medical Education and Research and has more than 140 original research papers and 15 book chapters to his credit.
