JAMMU, Dec 25: Dr Kasturi Lal, former Principal of GMC Jammu, inaugurated the 32nd annual conference of the Association of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India (AGOI) in Kolkata.
As the founder of AGOI, Dr Kasturi Lal attended the conference, organized by West Bengal state chapter of AGOI, as a chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
The AGOI is a professional organization consisting of oncologists derived out of field of surgery Gynaecology, Radiation, Chemotherapy, Pathology, Immunology, molecular biology and Gene therapy who work in the field of gynaecological Cancers.
The organization is giving emphasis to preventive gynaecologic oncology and propagating awareness programmes for implementation of HPV Vaccination injection to at risk population for cancer of uterine cervix.
