JAMMU, Apr 12: Ahead of the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Union Minister of State in PMO with independent charge of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Ministries, Dr. Jitendra Singh, here on Sunday, released two Hindi compositions authored by BJP spokesperson and former Vice Chairman, Balbir Ram Rattan.
These compositions, titled “Daliton ke Masiah” and “Ambedkar Ek Naam,” reflect the multifaceted personality, visionary leadership, and enduring legacy of Babasaheb Ambedkar as a champion of social justice, equality, and Constitutional values. Through evocative language and thoughtful expression, the works seek to connect readers with Ambedkar’s ideals and inspire a deeper understanding of his life’s mission.
Dr Jitendra Singh, on this occasion, said that Ambedkar’s life continues to inspire generations to work towards an inclusive and equitable society. He described him as the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a pioneering reformer who dedicated his life to the upliftment and empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged sections.
He said that the Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has taken several initiatives to honour Ambedkar’s legacy. These include the development of key sites associated with his life as Panchteerath, promoting awareness about his contributions, and observing Ambedkar Jayanti as a national holiday since 2015.
Highlighting the role of the BJP, the Union Minister said the party has been actively organizing programmes across the country to spread Dr Ambedkar’s message and strengthen the spirit of social harmony and inclusiveness.
Balbir Ram Rattan expressed gratitude to Dr Jitendra Singh for releasing his compositions and encouraging literary efforts dedicated to national icons. He said his writings are a humble tribute to Babasaheb’s immense contribution to nation-building and expressed hope that these works would inspire the youth to imbibe and carry forward Ambedkar’s ideals in their lives.
