JAMMU, Nov 3: Dr Javaid Iqbal, Asst. Professor in Urdu, has been unanimously elected as Staff Secretary of Government Degree College, Nagrota for the academic session 2025-26.
Election for the post was smoothly conducted today and Dr Javaid Iqbal has superseded Prof Shakti Prakash (Associate Professor Computer Application).
The other team members, elected for the session 2025-26, include Dr Mussarat Chowdhary ( Joint Secretary), Dr Ritu Dewan ( Treasurer), Dr Arvind Sharma (Events and Program coordinator) and Prof Aanchal Sharma( IT and Media).
Principal of the College, Prof Anjali Mahajan congratulated the newly elected staff secretary and his team and wished him a fulfilling tenure ahead.
Dr Javaid Iqbal, in his address to the staff, thanked them for investing their faith and trust in him and promised to do his best to address their pressing issue and maintain a progrssive and inclusive environment.
