Dr Harleen gets Nelson Mandela Brilliance Award

JAMMU, Aug 17: In a mega event held at Indore, Professor, (Dr) Harleen Kaur, a faculty of Government Medical Jammu was awarded Nelson Mandela Global Brilliance Award 2025 and Bharat Rajshree Award for her contribution to the medical field.
The award is given to the persons who have contributed for the welfare of the society especially poor and down trodden. The award was presented by Satinder Singh Kohia, from Government of India Lt General BS Sisodiya from Indian Army and Air Marshal Shashi Kher Chaudhary .
Dr Harleen Kaur was awarded for her contribution to the society during COVID pandemic, when she was incharge for RTPCR testing for Covid patients and was acting as Nodal Officer for Covid testing at IIIM laboratory Canal Road Jammu. It is pertinent to mention that Dr Harleen Kour had suffered twice from COVID infection while performing her official duty and had to struggle for her life in the line of her duties, but immediately after recovering.
She rejoined her laboratory to do testing for Covid patients. She has been awarded by many national and international organisation for her devotion to the society. She is a recipient of United Kingdom Managers Award, Bharat Bhushan Award, Award from the Indian Army, appreciation from the Government of Jammu and Kashmir along with recognition from many state NGO organisations.
