Dr D R Kapoor passes away

JAMMU, Jan 7: Renowned administrator, scholar and educator, Dr D R Kapoor passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease, here today.
Dr Kapoor held an impressive academic record, including M.A. in Economics, M.Ed., Ph.D. and Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS).
He served as a National Level Monitor with the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and was a Guest Faculty Member at the J&K Institute of Public Administration, Management and Rural Development (IMPARD).
His contributions to academia were widely recognized.
He was awarded the Teacher Fellowship by ICSSR, New Delhi (1982-83) and the Rashtriya Gaurav Award in 2010 by the India International Friendship Society, New Delhi.
Dr Kapoor authored five books, including Education and National Development, Handbook of Cooperative Audit, Dynamics of Learning Organizations, Research Methodology, and Teacher’s Effectiveness.
