JAMMU, June 26: Lalit Mengi’s second book ‘Musings Unabated’ was today released by Dr Ashok Bhan, the former Director General J&K Police in a simple but impressive function held at the Royal Auditorium, Amar Singh Club.
‘Musings Unabated’ is continuation of his literary journey that began three years’ ago with the launch of his maiden attempt, ‘Musings of the Mind-During Corona Times’.
The spellbinding ‘Author’s Note’ sets the tone of his pleasing and characteristic writing style, prose in poetry.
Dr Ashok Bhan, complimented Mengi for his commendable literary accomplishment and said that he has shown way to other retirees how to utilise post-retirement time for creative work rather than indulging in fruitless adventures on What’s App.
Referring to Mengi’s second musings, he said this book has covered a wide spectrum of contemporary issues.
Lauding the author’s sensibility for harmony, Dr Bhan said that he has expressed unambiguously the need for making Bharat a colourful bouquet of multicultural nation.
Recommending for reading this wonderful literary work of Mengi, he said that the author has a penchant for producing more creative works.
K B Jandial, who was the guest of honour, also spoke on the occasion.
He commended Mengi for his ability to transform thoughts across a wide spectrum into poetry, in a unique and pleasing style, that has become his brand.
