JAMMU, Apr 12: The National Traders Welfare Board meeting, chaired by Board President Sunil Singhi, focused on improving trade ease, simplifying GSTlaws, andenhancing refunds.
Dr Sanjay Bansal member thanked PM Narendra Modi for the Jan Vishwas Bill, which aims to reduce complianceburdens. However, he raised concerns about pending payments to traders from defaulters, urging stricter recoverymechanisms.
Other discussions included promoting e-commerce, digital empowerment through ONDC’s DigiDukanplatform, and organizing “Trader-Entrepreneur-Administration Dialogue” events. The government reaffirmeditscommitment to trader-friendly policies and simplified compliance.
The board appreciated Modi’s efforts in creating a favorable business environment. Dr Bansal emphasized the need for timely payments andsupportfor traders. The meeting highlighted the importance of collaboration between traders, administration, andpolicymakers.
The board explored new initiatives to boost trade, including the Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy 2025, whichoffersincentives for e-commerce growth. The meeting also discussed the Prime Minister’s Mudra Scheme, enterpriseregistration, and simplifying FSSAI licensing. The government aims to reduce compliance burdens andpromotedigital empowerment for small traders.
The “Trader-Entrepreneur-Administration Dialogue” will be heldineverystate to address trader concerns. The Jan Vishwas Bill is expected to decriminalize various provisions, enhancingeaseof doing business. The board seeks to improve trade infrastructure and support systems, ensuring timelypaymentsand reducing disputes. With these initiatives, the government aims to create a more conducive environment fortraders and businesses to thrive.
