JAMMU, Dec 12: Dr Anila Singh Charak– a renowned poetess, satirist, gazalkar and former principal AEES under Department of Atomic Energy Commission BRC has been awarded with Rashtriya Pratibha Sammaan by SKALD in collaboration with Institute of Management and Sciences, Chatrapur (Delhi).
The award was conferred to Dr Anila for her multifarious achievements in various fields, viz. litetature, science, art, painting and sports. As an eminent educationist, she was also honoured by former president Dr Abdul Kalam as the best principal in India.
She has won many prestigious awards in literature arts and education, all around the globe viz. Sahitya Academy Award from Academy of Art Culture and Languages, Jammu and Kashmir for her poetry collection “Nange Paanv Zindagi” in 2008, Bhartendu Harishchandra Award from Rajasthan, Amrita Pritam Sammaan from Nepal, Harishankar Parsai Sammaan from Bhutan, Bhasha Sahodari Sammaan from Mauritius and Sahitya Sanchay Shodh Sammaan from Indonesia.
Her 17th book ‘Rishton Ke Bheege Akhbar is going to be telecast very soon and her new book in English “Bare foot in the sand of life” is under publication.
