JAMMU, Oct 15: Delhi Public School Jammu held an event with immense pride and grandeur, based on the theme “Sankalp Se Siddhi Ki Aur: Lead to Inspire”, highlighting the values of determination, leadership and service.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary to the Government, Industries & Commerce Department, J&K; Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu; and Dr. Shakti Kumar Gupta, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Jammu.
Also present were distinguished alumni Aastha Sharma, Judicial Magistrate First Class, District Court Reasi (Batch 2014) and CA Reeya Raina, Founder, Reeya Raina & Co., Chartered Accountants (Batch 2012). The celebration was presided over by Dr. Ritu Singh.
In her address, Dr. Ritu Singh stated, “True leadership is anchored in empathy, integrity and service. Our students must live the motto ‘Service Before Self’ and remain rooted in their cultural values while serving others.”
Prof. Umesh Rai introduced the “Design Your Degree” program and quoted Swami Vivekananda, emphasizing learning beyond classrooms. Vikramjit Singh shared, “Intelligent hard work, not luck, defines success. Resilience is key for our youth.”
Dr. Shakti Kumar Gupta reflected, “Success earns pride, but service earns remembrance. Stay humble, dream big.” Principal Ruchi Chabra administered the oath to 119 newly elected student leaders. Meenu Gupta, Vice Principal, proposed the vote of thanks.
Management members M.K. Ajatshatru Singh, President, Rajput Charitable Trust, and S.S. Sodhi, Director, extended heartfelt congratulations to the student cabinet and their proud parents.
