DPN believes in making J&K self sufficient: Mir

DHOBIWAN, July 7: Terming the economic stability of the society as base for building a strong nation, the patron of Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN), Ghulam Hassan Mir said that his party is advocating since its inception to make the State self sufficient by utilizing abundant natural resources of the State in right direction.
Addressing a mammoth public gathering here today, Mir said that DPN believes in putting things in practice and its work is visible on ground, adding that it does not believe in empty promises and hollow slogans.
Stating that the peace is imperative for the development and prosperity of the State, Mir sought cooperation of the people to fructify development plans so that their maximum benefits reach to the people at grass root level.
Mir said that devolution of powers to the village level representatives at the grass-root level was the main agenda of his party that aims to provide opportunity to them to frame developmental plans for their respective areas.
Maintaining that youth are the building blocks of a society, Mir said that there is a need to channelize the energies of the much talented youth of our State in the best possible way, adding that his party will work day in and day out to explore the possibilities of more and more job avenues for them.
He appealed the people to extend their whole hearted support to DPN so that developmental plans are formulated and implemented as per the aspirations of the people.
Senior party leaders Farooq Ahmad Dar and Mohammad Assadullah Bhat also addressed the gathering.
