JAMMU, Nov 6: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Provincial president ST Cell for Jammu and Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sobat Ali Choudhary along with SC Cell working provincial president Jammu, Om Raj Bhall today conducted a public meeting in which members of SC and ST communities of village Gasain Chak of Panchayat Phallayan Mandal participated.
People of Gujjar community in the meeting said that their area lacks a graveyard as there was no place for performing last rites of the deceased persons of their community.
The issue of poor road connectivity to the village was also raised.
Om Raj Bhall asked the people of SC community to stress on education of their children.
Speaking in the meeting senior DPAP leader Sobat Ali said the issue of graveyard and road connectivity along with other issues shall be taken to the concerned authorities for a prompt resolution.
Those who were present on the occasion were Sarpanch Som Nath Dogra, Ch Manzoor Hussain, Fareed Hussain, Rashid, Rafiq Ahmed, Ab Kabir, Nazir Ahmed, Ch Sadeeq Phalwan, Mohammed Sadeeq, Shah Din, Ex-Panch Girdhari Lal, Bachan Lal and others.
