JAMMU, Jan 15: Prominent political activist, former DPAP general secretary, and an ex-serviceman, Kulwant Singh along with 200 supporters joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar here, today.
J&K BJP president and Member of Parliament, (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma CA, along with general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul, general secretaries, Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, Kissan Morcha president, Rakesh Pant, Mandal president, Amarjit Kour, and other senior party leaders, welcomed Kulwant Singh, an ex-serviceman, along with supporters into the BJP. The joining programme was organized by MLA, Surinder Bhagat and senior leader Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir.
Ranjeet Singh, Ghar Singh, Kamal Singh, Rajinder Singh, Madan Lal, Keshav Chib, Banchit Rajput, Raghu Singh, Bua Ditta, Tarsem Lal, and others were amongst the prominent with Kulwant Singh to join BJP on the occasion.
Welcoming the new entrants, Sat Sharma said that the joining of Kulwant Singh and a large number of his supporters reflects the growing trust of people in the policies, leadership, and vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He said that Kulwant Singh is known for his dedicated service to society, grassroots connect, and disciplined approach as an ex-serviceman, which will further strengthen the party’s organizational and social outreach. He emphasized that BJP is not just a political party but a movement committed to nation-building, good governance, social justice, and inclusive development. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Modi, Jammu & Kashmir like other parts of the country is witnessing transformative changes, inspiring people from all walks of life to associate with BJP for a stronger and developed nation.
Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul said that BJP welcomes all those who believe in the ideology of nationalism, development, and public service. He stated that Kulwant Singh’s long-standing engagement in social and political life, along with the collective strength of his supporters, will add new energy to the party at the grassroots level. He reiterated that the Modi Government’s transparent governance, focus on youth, farmers, women, and the underprivileged continues to attract dedicated individuals to the BJP fold.
