JAMMU, Feb 16: Dozens of leaders and workers from the Eknath Shinde faction joined the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) in Jammu today.
A statement said the leaders formed entered into the Shiv Sena (UBT) fold in the presence of State President Manish Sahni, who greeted them with the traditional Shiv Bandhan and the party symbol.
Speaking on the occasion, Sahni said the leaders had “returned home” under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray and expressed faith in the party’s core ideology.
He said the development reflects growing support for the party’s stand on protecting the rights of local people.
Sahni also hinted that more prominent leaders from other parties are likely to join in the coming days under the party’s “Mashal” symbol.
He announced new appointments, naming Sanjay Bhatt as Prabhari Kashmir Division, Mohammad Farooq Khan as Vice President J&K, Irshad Ahmed Khan as Vice President Kashmir Division, and Mohammad Ashraf Lone as President of District Kulgam.
