JAMMU, Mar 18: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) today released Dogri poetry book ‘Manai De Aale’ written by poet and music composer Brij Mohan.
The book was released during a function organised under the guidance of Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretary JKAACL.
On this occasion Prof. Lalit Magotra, president Dogri Sanstha Jammu and Padmashri Mohan Singh, Convener Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi were guests of honour whereas Dr. Anil Kumar Mahajan, a well known Dogri poet was special guest.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Lalit Magotra called Brij Mohan an eminent name in Dogri literature and music.
Dr. Anil Kumar said that Brij Mohan is always involved in his creative works and he called him a devotee of Dogri literature and music.
Earlier, Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor-cum-Cultural Officer at JKAACL delivered welcome address.
Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’, Sahitya Akademi and State awardee presented detailed paper on the book. Thereafter Ram Lal and Rakesh Chowhan presented a Dogri song.
Brij Mohan also shared his views about his journey as a poet and music composer and recited a few lyrics from the book.
The programme was conducted by Madhvi Sharma, senior announcer at Aakashwani Jammu and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Shahnawaz.
