JAMMU, Mar 18: In a vibrant event hosted at the Jammu Writers Club of the Jammu Culture Academy, the inspirational Dogri book ‘Likhaari Nami Soch’ was unveiled today.
The event was graced by Madhvi Sharma as the chief guest, accompanied by Prof Shalini Rana and Narinder Singh Bhau as guests of honor. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was carried out by Bawa Travel Organization representatives, Mohan Singh Jamwal, Narinder Singh Bhau (chief of AIBRS) and Prof Shalini Rana.
Addressing the attendees, Anil Verma emphasized the importance of uniting diverse voices on a common platform. The significance of the Dogri language was highlighted through the reading of excerpts from the book by Surekha Rajput, illustrating the transformative journey of individuals discovering the beauty of Dogri through literature.
Expressing her sentiments, Prof Shalini Rana shared her delight at engaging with and learning from the new generation of writers while Mohan Singh Jamwal emphasized the aim of the book “Soch,” in providing a platform for individuals passionate about preserving and enriching Dogri cultural heritage.
During the event, Madhvi Sharma stressed the importance of extending support beyond rural areas, urging proactive participation in urban regions. In response, Narinder Singh Bhau assured comprehensive assistance to individuals dedicated to fostering a thriving cultural and literary landscape in reverence to Maa Bharti and Dogri.
Following the book release, Narinder Singh Bhau, Madhvi, and other dignitaries honored and encouraged the budding writers, symbolizing a promising future for Dogri literature and culture.
