Dogras of J&K organize Mata Vaishno Devi Jagran in Uganda

JAMMU, Dec 9: Jammu & Kashmir Dogra Association Uganda (JKDAU) organised a grand Mata Vaishno Devi Jagran in Kampala, the national capital of Uganda.
The vibrant Indian community in Kampala came together to celebrate the soulful and spiritual Mata Vaishno Devi Jagran, which turned out to be a remarkable event fostering devotion and unity among the community.
More than 1500 plus devotees attended the Jagran. Renowned Bhajan singers Vijaypuria Brothers from Reasi in J&K, were specially invited for the Jagran. Their devotional songs made the atmosphere totally mesmerising.
The serene evening was marked by prayers, Bhajans, and the collective spirit of faith as devotees paid reverence to Mata Vaishno Devi, seeking her blessings and grace.
The Jagran was followed by langar for the community, wherein J&K special delicacies like Rajma Chawal, Anardana Chutney & Kashmiri Kahwa were also served. All these food items were specially imported from J&K to give real taste of J&K to the devotees in Uganda.
On the occasion, Gaurav Gupta, convener of Jammu & Kashmir Dogra Association Uganda, announced that the community has decided to make the grand Jagran a regular annual feature in Uganda.
