Dogra honoured with National Icon Award

JAMMU, July 10: Dr ML Dogra, Chairman cum Director of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Jammu has been honoured with “National Icon Award -2025” in a function held at Delhi.
As multifaceted personality and scholar Dogra has been felicitated for blending creative Dogri and Hindi musical plays through his outstanding contribution in performing, art and education along with 100 national dignitaries, in a programme organised by Bharti Yuva Welfare Association (India),Bharat News in association with Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir Government, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
The programme was inaguarated by the Union Minister Raghuraj Singh, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt of Uttar Pradesh, along with Satish Chand Dwivedi, former Education Minister, Govt of Uttar Pradesh, Dr Abhishek Verma, Chief Coordinator, Shiv Sena, India Alliance & Elections, Advocate Raju Rastogi at Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalya,Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi.
It started with welcome note by Mohit Narayan, Founder & Director, Bharat News & Bharti Yuva Welfare Association and lighting the traditional lamp. The chief guest congratulated the organizers/ awardees for their excellent services in the field.
Dogra is a legendary icon undoubtedly for performing art. His exceptional and exemplary work would be a source of inspiration to younger generation. The organization wished him a good luck for the future. He has created over three dozen dance- drama spectacles which really represent the ethos, aspirations of the society and holds a weekend two shows called Saturday musical Play and Friday Music concerts, and highlighting activities thereof the Regional, National papers, Radio and Doordarshan and social media.
