JAMMU, Nov 16: Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu, organized the Annual Sports Meet at Dogra Ground, Shastri Nagar, here.
Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and President, Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K was the chief guest on the occasion, while Surekha Charak was the guest of honour and Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust was the special guest on the occasion.
Earlier, Principal Davinder Kour presented the welcome address.
The Meet began with the releasing of balloons in the air by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
The games started with Mass Drill. A cultural programme was also presented by the students on the occasion and Annual report was presented by Davinder Kour, Principal DHSS.
While expressing his views during the event, the chief guest said that frequent sports and other co-curricular activities are always helpful for developing the balanced personality of children.
Samar Dev Singh Charak in his address threw light on how the school progressed over the years since its inception.
The medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) were distributed amongst the best adjudged students in different event by Surekha Charak, President Managing Committee, DHSS.
