BARI BRAHMANA, Apr 2: Dogra Degree College (Autonomous), through its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Research Committee, organized an expert session on the theme ‘Promoting Research Culture in Higher Education: Writing Effective Research Proposals and Research Papers’.
The session was conducted with the objective of strengthening research orientation among faculty members and enhancing their competencies in research methodology, proposal writing, academic writing standards, publication in peer-reviewed journals and ethical research practices.
The programme commenced with welcome address by Rakesh Mohan Koul, Programme In-Charge, BBA & B.Com.
The event reflected the enduring vision and support of Dr. Bela Thakur, Director, Dogra Group of Colleges and Principal, Dogra Degree College.
The resource person, Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal, Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Degree College, Hiranagar, shared her insights and extensive experience in scholarly research.
She elaborated on the systematic process of developing quality research papers and effective research proposals, highlighting the importance of clarity, structure and academic rigor.
The session was graced by the presence of R.S Katal, Member, Governing Body and Academic Committee, DDC, who appreciated the initiative and applauded the valuable contribution of Dr. Pragya Khanna in enriching the academic discourse.
The session was also graced by Dr. Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal DCE.
Faculty members from Dogra Degree College, Dogra Law College and Dogra College of Education actively participated in the session.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Shivani Kashyap.
