JAMMU, Mar 17: Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha today felicitated the newly elected MLAs belonging to Brahmin community.
During a function in this regard at the Dogra Brahmin Pratnidhi Sabha, near Parade Ground Jammu, Chander Prakash Ganga (MLA and Cabinet Minister), Sunil Sharma (MoS and MLA), MLA Rajeev Sharma and MLA Sat Pal Sharma were honoured by putting Dogra Turban on their head. Senior BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma was also honoured on the occasion.
The Ministers and MLAs assured their full cooperation to the Sabha.
The function was presided over by Ved Prakash Sharma, president of the Sabha, who informed that a statue of Maharishi Chanakya will soon be installed in Parade Chowk outside the office of Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha.
Surinder Sharma conducted proceeding of the programme while Parshotam Sharma delivered a lecture on behalf of the Sabha.
The function was attended by a number of prominent people from the community and representatives of various organizations.
On the occasion, Sabha informed about the Parshuram Jyanti Shobha Yatra on March 20 and Akshaya Tritiya celebration on March 21.
