Srinagar, Aug 6: The Higher Education Department (HED) today asked its faculty members not to participate in Doordarshan and All India Radio programmes without obtaining prior permission.
“It has been brought to the notice of Higher Education Department that certain Faculty Members are participating in Doordarshan and All India Radio programmes instead of performing their legitimate duties, which is a stark violation of rules and standing instructions of the Government issued from time
to time. The matter has been viewed seriously,” the Department said.
The Department has impressed upon all the Faculty Members of the Higher Education Department to resist this practice and ensure not to participate in Doordarshan and All India Radio programmes without prior permission of the department.
The Department further stated that non-compliance shall be construed as wilful insubordination and action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against the defaulter.
