SRINAGAR, Aug 4: The District Mineral Officer (DMO) Pulwama, against whom the Government initiated an inquiry a few days ago, is already under investigation by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a disproportionate assets case.
In this regard, the Senior Superintendent of Police, ACB South Kashmir, has written to the Tehsildar of Rajpora, Pulwama, seeking information about land in the officer’s name and other relevant details.
The letter was dispatched on July 7, 2025.
The letter states in its subject: “Verification into Disproportionate Assets (DA) Case Veri-07/2025 under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act against Khurshid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Gani Dar resident of Belloe Dergund, Rajpora, Pulwama, working in Geology & Mining Department as District Mineral Officer.”
The ACB communication states that the matter is under probe with the organization, and in order to proceed ahead with the matter, the information is urgently required.
The details sought include total ancestral property share of subject as per revenue record along with survey numbers, name of person to whom sold/ transferred ancestral land with survey numbers, name of the person from whom purchase or transferred land with survey number, present status of the land both sold/purchased/transferred /possession with survey number.
The information demanded also includes present status of land owned /purchased by the subject with survey numbers.
“Please provide the above said information within seven days positively, to the office of SSP Anti Corruption Bureau (South) Kashmir Srinagar at Old Secretariat Srinagar through concerned dealing hand,” the letter reads.
Notably, earlier the Government had ordered an inquiry into the “allegations” levelled against the District Mineral Officer (DMO) Pulwama, who is also holding additional charge of DMO Kulgam.
