KISHTWAR, Aug 27: District Magistrate (DM) Angrez Singh Rana today imposed restriction over the storage of dry grass, fodder and hay near or inside residential places and localities which have been found main sources of catching fire during the fire incidents.
It is pertinent to mention here that in recent past the district witnessed major fire incidents at Afti and Sukhnaie villages of Warwan, Kiyar village of Dachhan block, Ongie village of Block Padder besides few other places causing huge loss to life and property. The main cause of fire incidents have been found due to catching of fire through dry grass, fodder etc. where whole village gets devastated and vanished in the fire rampage.
As a precautionary measure, DM Angrez Singh Rana in order to check future fire incidents has imposed restriction of storing and dumping of fodder, dry grass and hay near or inside residential places and has ordered that same shall be kept 50 metres away from the main locality and village preferably in covered and stacked manner and should be stored at farms and agriculture grounds beyond the residential limits.
The concerned SHOs and Incharge Chowki Officers have been directed for implementation of order in letter and spirit.
