RAJOURI, Nov 5: The National Legal Services Day was today celebrated by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), with great enthusiasm.
The day was celebrated in collaboration with the Indian Army and District Administration Rajouri, on the directions of Rajinder Sapru, Chairman, DLSA Rajouri and on the guidance of Shama Sharma, Sub-Judge/Secretary, DLSA Rajouri.
In this regard, a “Women Darbar” was organized at Boys Higher Secondary School, Thannamandi, which was inaugurated by Shama Sharma, Sub-Judge/Secretary, DLSA Rajouri.
Speaking on the occasion, Shama Sharma emphasized the importance of women empowerment through awareness and education.
She said, “Women are the backbone of our society. It is our duty to ensure they are aware of their legal rights and available welfare schemes.
Sharma also appreciated the Indian Army and District Administration for their cooperation and contribution to the successful organization of the event.
President, Press Club Thannamandi and Civil Society Thannamandi extended their heartfelt gratitude to DLSA Rajouri for organizing the Women Darbar.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Rajesh Sharma, Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Rajouri.
