JAMMU, Sept 14: Jammu division selection events, organised by Jammu District Chess Association under the aegis of All J&K Chess Association and J&K Sports Council, concluded here at Nek Hotel below Gumat, today.
All the events were held under the supervision of Atul Kumar Gupta, president All J&K Chess Association. Satish Gupta Manager Indoor Sports Complex MA Stadium was the observer from Sports Council during the event. The selected players will participate in J&K UT events to be held at Srinagar next month.
Ruturaj Dhotre remained overall champion in open category, whereas Ayush Gupta won Gold in under-19 boys while Superb Jain got Silver and Aryan Raj Bali clinched Bronze medal. In under-19 girls Amrita won Gold, while Mansha Mahajan and Avni Gupta stood 2nd and 3rd respectively, besides in senior women, Avni Gupta, Amrita and Mansha Mahajan secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
