Football League: Hamdaniya FC beats Young Iqbal FC by solitary goal

SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Hamdaniya FC trounced Young Iqbal FC by solitary goal, whereas another match of the ongoing DFA Football League which was played between Galaxy FC and Real Kashmir Under-18 remained a 2:2 goals draw at Synthetic Turf TRC, here today.
The first match was played between Galaxy FC and Real Kashmir U-18. The first goal was scored by Faheem Ahmad of Galaxy FC in the 12th minute of the 1st half.
In the 2nd half, the Turks of Real Kashmir FC succeeded in 33rd minute when Faizan scored a goal with a delightful finish. In the 45th minute the Galaxy FC secured 2nd goal through Shaizan Ahmad, whereas Real Kashmir while utilising their energy scored an equalizer in 53rd minute of the game. Thus the match ended with 2:2 Goal draw & both the teams qualified for the 2nd round of the league with 5 points each in their respective Pool.
In the 2nd match, Hamdaniya FC defeated Young Iqbal FC. Both the teams played aggressive Football to take the lead in the initial stage of the match but could not succeed. They made certain brilliant moves but could not penetrate solid defence lines of their opposite team. In the 50th minute Firdous Ahmad of Hamdaniya FC made no mistake in converting a goal.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing ‘A’ Division of DFA Srinagar Annual Football at Gindun Ground Rajbagh wherein the first match was played between Al-Hilal FC and Blossom FC remained goal less draw, whereas in another match at same venue, Towheed FC won the match by solitary goal from Majeed Bagh FC.
