POONCH, Dec 13: Diva International Foundation (DIF) organized a one-day mega eye camp in Poonch, aimed at providing free eye care services to the local population.
The camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, who was the chief guest on the occasion. Accompanying him at the event were Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Poonch Dr Nusrat Bhatti, and Amardeep Singh, CEO and Director Diva International Foundation.
The DC emphasized the importance of such initiatives in providing accessible healthcare to underserved communities. He applauded the Foundation for its efforts in bringing specialized medical services to this border district.
The camp continued throughout the day, offering free eye check-ups, consultations, and distribution of glasses. Patients requiring surgeries were identified and arrangements were made for further treatment.
The CMO and Medical Superintendent assured their support for similar initiatives in the future to enhance healthcare delivery in Poonch.
The CEO of the Foundation reiterated commitment to organizing more such camps to address healthcare challenges faced by the people in remote areas.
The camp was a significant step towards ensuring better eye health for the residents of Poonch, showcasing the importance of public-private partnerships in enhancing medical services.
