JAMMU, Mar 8: Diva International Foundation, an NGO, here today organized a free medical and health awareness camp at Maira Mandrian in Akhnoor.
Satish Sharma, Cabinet Minister inaugurated the camp in the presence of Vinay Kumar Sharma, Heads of Operations, AARK Global Inc, a US based Engineering Services Company.
Ajay Bhagat, AE JKPDC; Shubam Dogra, Head Yuva Helping Hand Foundation; Gurvinder Singh Deepu and entire team of medicos and para-medics of Diva International Foundation along with prominent personalities of area and general public were also present in the camp.
The medical camp saw overwhelming participation of more than 675 patients who availed free services by the team of medical experts from reputed hospitals of Northern India.
Medical consultations in Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, ENT, General Medicine, Ophthalmology etc were provided to the visiting patients along with free medicines, subsidized lab tests and free basic tests apart from basic health screening and awareness about nutrition, hygiene and preventive care.
Amardeep Singh Sasan, CEO and Director, Diva International Group & Diva International Foundation thanked the visiting Doctors of Nirvan Hospital, Punjab, Directorate of Health Services, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu, Directorate of ISM, District AYUSH Officer, Centre for Sight Hospital, BVG Ambulances 108 and local administration of Akhnoor.
At the end, Certificate of Appreciation and mementoes were given to the participants and volunteers of BVG 108 by the chief guest, Satish Sharma and guest of honour, Vinay Kumar Sharma.
